ARTIST'S STATEMENT

Art should give you a sense of time and place and convey even a mood to be shared or relived by the viewer. I hope to capture the atmosphere in my landscapes as well as the scene itself.

In my paintings the focus is on the beauty of the play of light and the color changes that occur in a particular setting. It is exciting that even the most common objects seem to take on new beauty when touched by dramatic light. Capturing this drama for the enjoyment of others is a blessing and a privilege.
